The IHK-Exportacademy is a leading training institution for the German economy on export control, customs and finding business partners. Among many other projects we carry out the Manager Training Programme.
The Manager Training Programme of the "Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK)" is an element of Germany’s foreign economic policy. The "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH" is entrusted to lead the Programme. Since its inception in 1998, 16,000 managers and decision makers from 21 countries have taken part in the programme.
The programme provides participating leaders and executives with access to the German market and possibilities to establish relationships with German companies. Another aim of the programme is the initiation of long-term partnerships. In addition, throughout the programme a variety of trainings are provided, which strengthen specific management competencies. Every group will visit various German companies, with the opportunity for direct business contacts and the perfect environment to set up talks and negotiations. The visit to German companies is a particular focus of the programme and will give the participating managers vital insights into business structures and thus knowledge on how to be successful in Germany.
In 2022, we implemented the programme with groups from Azerbaijan, Mexico and Vietnam. Together with the groups we visited more than 30 companies in Baden-Württemberg, explored trade fairs, provided various trainings, and helped facilitate numerous individual meetings with German companies.
